“Soaring above it all is the voice of frontwoman Vivs Takahashi, whose calmly mellow timbre guides the listener dreamily through the songs. The aforementioned shouts prove that she’s capable of more.”
ABOUT.
Vivs Takahashi is a Brazilian singer based in Düsseldorf, Germany, active in the European metal scene with touring and studio experience across multiple countries. She is the frontwoman and a founding member of FlowerLeaf, a modern symphonic metal act with whom she has shared stages with bands like Xandria, Edenbridge, Serenity, and Temperance.
Classically trained at the São Paulo School of Music, one of Brazil's leading conservatoires, she has built a versatile vocal approach that moves fluidly between clean, operatic, and extreme styles. That range isn't just technical: years of theatre and musical performance have shaped a stage presence built on communication, physicality, and the ability to hold an audience, not just deliver a performance.
In the studio, she has worked with Marina La Torraca (Battle Beast) as her vocal producer, and collaborated with singers like Mylena Monaco (Sinaya / Extreme Vocal Club) and Janika Groß (Haggard, Molllust).

“And then there is vocalist Vivs, emanating charisma and power as she absolutely mesmerized the crowd with her incredible vocals and powerful stage presence. Whether punchy or silky, alto or soprano, or unleashing a sinister snarl, her versatility was amazing to experience live. I loved her recorded, and there was zero drop off live, as she pulled it off effortlessly.”
“Vivs Takahashi’s vocals are awesome. She is graced with a beautiful silky timbre, and her voice is powerful yet highly controlled and polished. The use of choirs and backing vocals is very well done too, making the vocals on this album among the best I’ve heard on a symphonic metal album this year.”
“Takahashi’s powerful, classically trained voice, in particular, lent the songs additional depth and underscored the band’s high level of musicianship. Her growling vocals were definitely one of the highlights of the evening.”
